Uploading the Diabetic Register
to DECS
The
Add-on includes an enhanced export facility which sends the patient
list directly to DECS using an encrypted NHS network connection.
In addition, the data is separately encrypted before transmission so
that it is only readable by the DECS team. To initiate the
export, click the ‘Export Data’ button, and you will see a form like
this:
Click ‘Export Custom Data’ next to the DECS module,
and a separate progress window appears, which allows you to view the
data prior to transmission. When you are satisfied, click ‘Export
the Data Now’:
Encrypting and uploading the data to
DECS should only take a minute or so, and you will see a message indicating
that the file was successfully sent.
