Data Export - Frequently Asked Questions
1. I use EMIS PCS and it's taking a long time to run the queries
Several practices have recently made us aware that MIQUEST queries
running in EMIS PCS are taking longer than usual to execute.
Unfortunately we can give no specific advice as to how to solve this
problem. However, practices are advised that to reduce the chance of
queries failing (and hence having to re-submit them) it is important to
clear old queries prior to submitting a new set . For more information
visit this page. If EMIS PCS queries fail for unknown reasons, EMIS support have requested that you always contact the EMIS help desk.
2. Do I need to send you the report workbook?
NO - The workbooks contain patient identifiable data and QMS will never
ask you to send them (although it's possible the PCT will ask you for
them). The only file we need from the data export is the single
generated CSV (this will have a file name similar to:
qms_G85123_CF0091_AM_0091_20081031.csv).
3. There is an error displayed when I try to export the data, what should I do?

support@qualitymedicalsolutions.co.uk. There are several reasons why an
export may fail but, on most occasions, this will result in the export
not containing a full set of data.
4. I've been prompted to install an upgrade to Contract Focus or install a new module. Do I really need to do this?
Absolutely! Contract Focus and associated modules are regularly updated
as new rules are issued and data requirements change. Although you are
still able to submit data using an older version of the software, you
may not be returning the correct data. If you have any problems
installing an upgrade, please contact QMS.
5. I've submitted my data and received an automated reply. Can I assume my data was ok?
When you carry out your data export you will receive two emails. The
first is an automated reply to confirm that your data has been received
and the second is confirmation that your data has been checked and all
is fine. If, within 3 working days, you don't receive the second email,
please contact QMS Support on 01202 961343 or email
support@qualitymedicalsolutions.co.uk.
6. Does Contract Focus work with Office 2007?
Sorry, Contract Focus isn't currently compatible with Office 2007.
