IMAGE Project Data Collection
-Instructions
-
The IMAGE project will collect data from your
clinical system using a set of MIQUEST queries.
-
A simple utility is provided to generate the
required queries ready to run in your clinical system.
-
Once the queries have completed, the same utility
can be used to collect and encrypt the MIQUEST response files.
-
Finally the encrypted response files should be sent
as an email attachment to image@nhs.net
.
- If you have any problems with the collection process,
please contact support@qms-uk.com
Once downloaded, open (run) the
collector utility
program. You will see the following
prompt, click ‘Setup’

You will now need to generate the
MIQUEST queries for the
extraction, by clicking the ‘Generate MIQUEST Queries’ button:

You will be prompted as follows, and
once you have selected
the appropriate options, click ‘Generate’:

NOTE:
- Make sure you choose the
correct system type – the queries are different.
- Enter your practice
national code
- Select the query output
folder. For Emis PCS, you can accept the
default option. For Emis LV, you will need
to browse to the SHARED folder on your network and create the
QMS\Queries folder.
- The queries will be saved
in the folder you specify and can be loaded from there into your
clinical system.
Instructions for Emis LV can be found here.
Instructions for Emis PCS can be found here.
Once the queries have all completed,
transfer the response
files out using your clinical system MIQUEST, saving them in the
QMS/Responses
folded in the same location as the QMS/Queries folder selected above. Now run the Collection Utility again, and
select the ‘Collect Response Files’ option:

You will be prompted to select the
location containing the response
files. Note for Emis LV, this is usually
on the SHARED network folder.

Once you have selected the location of
the MIQUEST response files,
click 'Collect' and you will be prompted to save the encrypted data
file that must be sent to the IMAGE team at email address image@nhs.net
Make sure you save the encrypted
response file (called IMAGEB12345.zip.p7m, or similar) in a folder that
you can find to attach the file to an email message. Send the
file using your nhs.net email account to image@nhs.net
The process is now complete, thank you!
If you have any questions about the IMAGE project in general, please
